nicolai did an awesome job. i'm making a few small additions.

: 1. Define the peritoneum in the pelvic cavity - male and female.
- peritoneum of pelvis = continuous with the peritoneum of the abdomen at the pelvic inlet
- anteriorly the pelvic peritoneum gives rise to the meian and medial umbilical folds
- posteriorly the pelvic peritoneum covers the anterior & posterior surface of the upper 1/3 of the rectum, the anterior surface of the middle 1/3 of the rectum. the lower 1/3 of rectum is not covered by anything
- most inferior boundary in male: rectovesical pouch, female: rectouterine pouch (douglas)

: 11. What is the Cardinal ligament?
- fibromuscular condensations of pelvic fascia from the cervix & vagina to the pelvic walls
- extend latterally below the base of the broad ligament
- contains uterine a&v

: 13. Discuss the structure of the uterus.
- between bladder & rectum
- consists of body, cervix
- cervix joins vagina inferiorly
- rounded superior fundus
- implantation of blastocyst happens here

: 21. Discuss the origin of the deep circumflex iliac artery the inferior epigastric artery, and the cremaster artery.
- ext. iliac. a. -> deep circumflex iliac a.
-> inferior epigastric -> cremasteric

: 22. What is the middle sacral artery?
- aka median sacral
- rises from the back of the aorta
- sort of runs parallel to but does not anastomose with lateral sacral artery

: 23. Define the branches constituting the posterior division of the internal iliac artery.
1) iliolumbar -> iliac branch + lumbar branch
2) lateral sacral a.
3) terminates into superior gluteal artery, running between the lumbosacral nerve and S1, goes into the greater sciatic forament and comes up in the gluteal region superior to the piriformis muscle

: 24. Define the branches constituting the anterior division of the internal iliac artery.
1) umbilical artery -> becomes the remnant of the umbilicar artery aka the medial umbilical ligament imbedded within the medial umbilical fold
1-1) umbilical artery gives rise to the superior vesical artery which may give rise to the artery to the ductus deferans
2) obturator artery
3) middle rectal artery
4) inferior vesicle artery
5) internal pudendal artery
6) terminates into inferior gluteal artery, running usually between S2, S3, going through the greater sciatic foramen into the gluteal region, runs inferior to the piriformis muscle

: 25. Where does the uterine artery arise?
- anterior division of the internal iliac artery

: 26. Where does the vaginal artery arise?
- from the uterine artery
