So I'm looking at the dorsal venous sinuses material, and I can't get a grip on the confluence of the sinuses. Is it more of a general region where there is communication between various sinuses or is it more like a pool that a bunch of sinuses drain into/out of? I've found that the superior sagittal and straight often communicately directly with either the right or left transverse sinus (sup. sag. more often with the right and straight more often with the left), and I'm pretty sure that there is at least a small communication between the right and left transverse sinuses, but Gray's really mentions very little about the confluence. Help?
