Gluteal Region - Part II

1. Discuss the origin and course of the medial femoral circumflex artery.
2. Discuss the origin and course of the lateral femoral circumflex artery.
3. What are the structural landmarks for each of these arteries and their branches?
4. Name all the muscles/ligaments associated with the ischial spine.
5. Name all the muscles/ligaments associated with the ischial tuberosity.
6. What is the course of the superior gluteal artery?
7. What is the course of the inferior gluteal artery?
8. Discuss the quadratus femoris muscle - provide landmarks for identification.
9. Discuss the course of the pudendal vessels as related to the ischial spine and ischial tuberosity.
10. Discuss why the gluteus medius and gluteus minimus are medial rotators of the thigh.
11. Name all of the lateral rotators of the thigh.
12. Name all of the medial rotators of the thigh.
13. Name the muscles in the thigh/gluteal region innervated by the superior gluteal nerve.
14. Name the muscles in the thigh/gluteal region innervated by the inferior gluteal nerve.
15. Name the muscles in the thigh/gluteal region innervated by the obturator nerve.
