: Gray rami communicans are found throughout the entire length of the spinal cord connecting the ANS to the CNS. White rami communicans are only found at levels T1-L3 which is basically the connection between the sympathetic trunk and CNS. Gray and white rami communicans can not be differentiated in a gross dissection.
