I wasn't sick... we visited a sick relative in Va. It was a sad and frustrating experience. -- AshleyP - 09 Aug 2007
PxM was registered by me b/c she told me she couldn't login to see the wonderful images I had waiting for her embryo. The other PMa managed to register last night, have no idea how. I know him, though, so I can ask him if I see him today how he registered. -- AshleyP - 09 Aug 2007
Images from Gray's were not scanned. They are saved in the original size stored by the publisher. Grant's are scanned at 300dpi to resolve issues. -- AshleyP - 09 Aug 2007
Were you physically sick? Your right, as you get older you just don't recover so quickly. You can't find the cereal or the coffee maker. Great way to diet. -- LorenEvey - 09 Aug 2007
Do you know how PM (2 PMs) managed to skirt the registration process? Someone would have needed to log on to give her access to the registration page? I will be editing the htpasswd file by the end of next week. With a few exceptions, we will start over with C2011. Former students will have to re-register if they are interested. You excepted of course. -- LorenEvey - 09 Aug 2007
Thanks. What resolution are the images scanned at? I have not had a chance to resize one. Are they at original size? -- LorenEvey - 09 Aug 2007
BTW-- Z asked if I'd have time to help out on the site when you go out of town (or need an extra hand otherwise). Yep. Just let me know what you need and when. -- AshleyP - 08 Aug 2007
You're welcome. Sorry, I wasn't ignoring the thank you!! My brain is still jumbled from our trip to VA. Makes me afraid to get sick in my old age. -- AshleyP - 08 Aug 2007
what time are you going offline? I'm getting more compressed folders ready for upload of later exams. Give me a shout when you are back online, too, so I can keep the server thinking hard. -- AshleyP - 08 Aug 2007
Hi There. You might have noticed that registration is closed at the this time except for someone who knows how to log on to the registration page. For now, I think it is fine to limit the image repositories to registered users (deny twiki guest). Notice that the new topic template defaults to this setting. Yes, a registered user can easily change the security setting but unless we have a subversive incident, I am not worried about it. I have to take the server off line for a few minutes this AM. It is going to the auto shop for a thorough dusting. Left coast tomorrow. These image galleries will be an immense help to me. My lectures will be from twiki slides and overheads. The slides will come from the galleries. Thanks so much. -- LorenEvey - 08 Aug 2007
Thought you were on the left coast. If you're checking this before I get it started, do you want image repositories available to people or Admin only? Well, you can obviously set it anyway to what you prefer whenever you get a chance. I doubt traffic will be very high for the next week or two. -- AshleyP - 08 Aug 2007
Ha. I figured that out when it let me set the main prefs and web prefs... thanks! Great minds. -- AshleyP - 08 Aug 2007
I just changed the site wide prefs to 1 gig then read your comment. Either way should work. Z mentioned to me that you said something about security rights. I added you to the twikiadmin group a couple of weeks ago. -- LorenEvey - 08 Aug 2007
Changed the Main Prefs to minus attachment size limit, changed Web Prefs to go 1 Gig. Will change back after image galleries are up and running, if you prefer. -- AshleyP - 08 Aug 2007
Should work now. Plugins galore. Even more tools to thwart malicious robots and the like. -- LorenEvey - 06 Aug 2007
Hey, you! Get the batch upload plugin working here! And delete the "exam1.zip" file I uploaded (in the lower limb exam topic page). Silly me, I just expected it to work! -- AshleyP - 20 Jul 2007
