Faculty Profile for Loren A. Evey, Ph.D.

"Describe and identify the essential features of normal human anatomy at the tissue, organ, and system level."

I suggest that we omit "the essential features of." While this may seem nit picky of me, the phrase "the essential features of" suggests censorship of the course material. Further, while we may know "what is essential," this statement is often incorrectly translated into "we know what is not essential." I suggest that we teach all of anatomy - currently deemed essential or not. Thus, we avoid the mistake of ignoring today what might be highly relevant tomorrow. What we should teach is, in my mind, obvious - Human Anatomy. Loren A. Evey, Ph.D.
